I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel's security is tight and I felt safe throughout my stay. The location of the hotel is outstanding; it's just a short walk away from Nagoya Mall, massage parlours, and restaurants. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds and pillows which allowed me to sleep soundly. The hotel staff were accommodating, and I was able to check in earlier than I expected. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a variety of local Indonesian, Japanese, and western dishes.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The location was fantastic, as it was just a short 5-minute walk to the famous Nagoya Shopping mall. The hotel provided excellent services such as room service, dry cleaning, and laundry. Convenient, safe and clean. Food / Breakfast could be improved as it was very good the first time I was in I Hotel Batam. (Taste not so perfect)
I am surprised to give you my credit card number and I still have to pay to I Hotel Batam, is there duplication payment?

The friendly staff and the level of cleanliness that they have maintained.
The smell when you enter the hotel maybe bcos there's no restrictions on smoking so the smell of ciggarette is a little overwhelming.

The hotel staff were only too happy to help, with everything. Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in two different rooms. Upgraded for first night and then moved up again to studio appartment. Both rooms met the highest of standards
Being British I am still struggling with curry for breakfast. That said the food was all excellent just not my cup of tea at 0900 in the morning.

The breakfast was served in a very nice environment and food was quite good.
The rate of hotel when I booked online through Booked.net was $122. But when I arrived to check in, it ended up that I had to pay $128. I never encountered this when I booked previously with other agencies. Half of the hotel rooms have very poor scenery as you can only see only a hill and nothing else. The other half have a much better view as you can see the city scenery. I was quite disappointed that before I book the hotel, I saw from the web-site for I Hotel that mention under facilities was with LCD/pasma tv. But this was not the case, in fact all the rooms in the hotel don't have LCD/pasma tv. The hotel should not be telling this type of liar on the hotel web-site. Apart from the duvet, there should be additional blanket provided. When I asked the reception for a blanket, I was quite disappointed that I was given a blanket which was thin like a bed sheet.

The I Hotel in Batam exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we checked in, the staff provided exceptional service, accommodating our request for adjacent rooms and ensuring we had a great view from the 10th floor. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a free minibar and a large TV that allowed us to watch movies from our own hard drive. The hotel's location was perfect, with a convenient shortcut to Nagoya shopping mall in the beautiful backyard. We also enjoyed the pool and hot spa, and the breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection of delicious international cuisine.
Nothing, it is perfect.

Checking-in was swift. Receptionist well-versed in English and fast to response to our request for an additional bed.
The breakfast could have been better. I noticed many international guests. Selection was quite generic but the quality of food need improvements. The chicken chipolata was cut into smaller and cooked and makes it super-dry when served. They could have served it as a whole piece boiled to retain the moisture. The pasta salad was dry and tasteless.

Coziness of the room and there are extra pillows. The air-conditioning works just fine.
The view from the room is very unsightly.
